I have lived with neck pain for years. After a round of sessions of Ortho-Bionomy, and doing the exercises my therapist suggested, I am pain free the majority of the time. I did not know that was possible. I look forward to continued progress. |

My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment for healing and transformation. I use a blend of modalities, with Ortho-Bionomy being the primary focus. I have been in practice for over twenty years and bring this experience & training into each session.
What if we have the opportunity to not just function, but thrive joyfully in our bodies? Our bodies are smart, they do the best with what we give them to work with. If we are constantly under stress and in pain, our bodies will do what they can to make that work for us, adapting so we can continue to function in our daily lives. We do not need to be fixed, as we are not broken. Instead, we need support in finding a different relationship with the stressor or the pattern. Utilizing bodywork, I partner with you to unwind the patterns that are causing pain and discomfort, and help support you in finding a different way of being.
We all can benefit from this level of support, but it can be especially helpful for those who feel ready for a change or are going through a transition, who feel that their current way of being is no longer supportive. A great example, and a good portion of my practice, is doing this work in preparation for surgery. I enjoy helping my clients get in a good place to welcome the change their surgery will bring. |

| What is a Session Like? |
|
A session lasts approximately an hour. Each session includes bodywork, conversation, energetics and listening to help you recognize the patterns of your body. We exaggerate positions of comfort and ease to engage your self healing reflexes. Your session may include physical movements (including compression, traction, isometrics, isotonics) & positioning. This can include working with muscles, organ systems, trauma patterns, scar tissue & energetic balance.
The main principles of Ortho-Bionomy are awareness, comfort, and support. This makes a session look and feel very different from many other types of bodywork and massage sessions. We are not forcing the body or muscle to do anything or “fixing” you. Instead, we work with you to provide the physical and energetic support you need to shift from a pattern of pain to a pattern of healing.

|
| Ortho-Bionomy can help you alleviate pain and stress patterns by reducing muscle tension, soothing the joints, increasing flexibility, improving circulation, and relaxing the entire body, all why you are fully clothed. In addition, your session will typically include take home self-care exercises so you can continue your healing journey outside of your session. |

| What is Ortho-Bionomy? |
|
| Ortho-Bionomy is a gentle, supportive healing practice that reminds us and our bodies of our natural ability to restore balance and harmony. The focus is on your comfort and helping you to find ease in your body. You actively participate in your own recovery, by learning to activate and support your self-healing and self-regulating processes. You begin to rediscover the ability to heal and restore ease and balance back into your body, and back into your life. Ortho-Bionomy was founded by Arthur Lincoln Pauls, a British trained Osteopath, in the early 1970’s. Its foundation is osteopathically and energetically based, focusing on the body’s postural, structural and energetic imbalances that can cause discomfort. |
